Zara Salmon
Zara Salmon (Wheaton '18) has been associated with GCSEN since she was a student of the Meaning Maker Bootcamp in 2018. Since then, she has graduated with a double major in English and Political Science, worked as a Communications Coordinator at the Brown University-founded Social Entrepreneurship Greenhouse in Providence, RI. Now, in addition to joining GCSEN’s Board of Directors, Zara has launched her own Social Venture full-time!
Zara says, “My confidence as an entrepreneur since the GCSEN experience has definitely grown tremendously. GCSEN really gave me the foundation, and they really taught me about business in a way I've never learned business before. Since then, I am very confident to say that I am an entrepreneur. I would definitely recommend this experience to other students, because, from my experience, seeing where I've grown as an entrepreneur, I just want that for everybody, and I know that GCSEN can instill that into everybody.”
One year after completing the GCSEN Meaning Maker’s Bootcamp, Zara founded CRAVEInfused, a lifestyle brand whose mission is to highlight the healing power of plants, while destigmatizing CBD cannabis products as simply another way towards healing with plants. Zara credits GCSEN for teaching her the foundational skills of business in the intensive training that GCSEN provides. GCSEN is proud to welcome her to serve on our Board of Directors.
