The Second Annual MVP Demo Day

The Second Annual MVP Demo Day

On August 17th, GCSEN Friends, Family and Supporters gathered for the second annual MVP Demo Day. Supporters gathered both online and in our Kingston, NY office, to hear hope-filled, actionable stories with high-impact pitches from GCSEN’s heroic 4P Social Entrepreneurs.

Presenters included GCSEN Graduates Macey Poitras-Cote, Zara Salmon, Kyle McNicoll, and Heather Rotman. We also featured Ben Parvey, Ron Ferris of Mid-Hudson Works, and our VIP guest speaker was none other than Prof. Len Green.

Mike Caslin in discussion with Kyle McNicoll:

GCSEN MVP Demo Day provides our GCSEN Meaning Makers with a chance to take one more step to the marketplace and practically demonstrate and explain /sell their ideas and theories by providing a demo of their product or service. The primary benefit is a gained and shared peer-to-peer experience with practice in pitching, showing, telling, and selling; and to benefit from new friendships, support, and re-connections, gaining vital input in a highly supportive environment.

At noon, GCSEN’s Heroes Cafe "Where our Heroes of Today meet our Heroes of Tomorrow" presented star speaker Prof. Len Green, author of The Entrepreneur’s Playbook, and a successful serial entrepreneur who had a stunning exit from Blue Buffalo Pet Food! Len treated the audience to illuminating tales and lessons from his years as a CEO, author, professor, philanthropist, and all-around star of the Social Entrepreneurship world!

Len Green during his presentation, below:

The event was titled the “GCSEN THEOS MVP DEMO DAY”. THEOS stands for Together Help Each Other Succeed. It is how we provide lifetime alumni services to our graduates and is one of our core organizational principles. We believe that only together will we achieve success and that with the right support you can do anything! We want to thank all the participants and viewers for their time and energy. What a great event!
