College and University Programs

In its first ten years, GCSEN has taught classes, both in-person and virtual, hosted workshops, presented lectures, run bootcamps, and more at 200 colleges and universities world-wide.

These include: SUNY New Paltz, The University of the Virgin Islands, Babson College, St. Peter's University, Wheaton University, Lindenwood University, Bangkok University (Thailand), Madden School of Business at LeMoyne College, Marist School of Management at Marist University, Paul Smith's College, and more.

Where are they now?

Yana Averbukh, a graduate of GCSEN’s first class hosted by Marist College School of Business in 2015, founded her own retail operations firm, Green Retail Consulting. She says, ”Switching from corporate jobs to becoming an entrepreneur was a big leap of faith. I had no role model to follow in my family and had to overcome the fear of losing monthly paychecks, as well as the uncertainty of building a business from scratch. Having key individuals, such as Professor Caslin, support me during my journey helped me to overcome numerous challenges and keep going.” Read More

Kyle McNicoll is a graduate of the first GCSEN Foundation Social Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at Wheaton College in 2016. After trying out many different career paths, he's now in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a fraud analyst at Barclays. He told us, “GCSEN provides a 100 percent value to students such as myself who have followed a more traditional career path in both the ability to get hired, and perform at a high level. I've talked about my experience with GCSEN during every job interview. GCSEN’s Boot Camp helps students see through a business structure to its actual ‘why’ and allows graduates to understand the core mission of any business during those critical introductory steps. Once hired, GCSEN’s graduates quickly rise to leadership positions due to the fact they can apply entrepreneurial skills to better assist the company’s overall mission with the provided resources at hand.”

Smith Wiltshire is one of the first University of the Virgin Islands (HBCU) - Center for Excellence in Learning and Leadership/GCSEN Caribe graduates from our globally accredited SE101- Principles of Social Entrepreneurship and continued on to GCSEN SE102- Social Venture Formation during the Spring Semester 2023. "I reluctantly took the GCSEN Entrance Assessment Test, hoping to fail it - which I did. But I was gripped by the information I came across. After seeing this and learning more, I retook the test and got a 95! And here I am now - a UVI-CELL/GCSEN 4P Certified Social Entrepreneur and I am so proud and thankful. I’ve learned how my business can be a Social Venture that has positive impacts for People, Profit, Planet and Place!"

GCSEN College and University Alumni can be seen all around the world, putting their 4P Social Entreprenership (People, Profit, Planet, Place) skills to work in non-profits, corporations, and more.

For example, Marco Sachet, a 2011 GCSEN alum from Baruch College, channels his 4P Social Entrepreneur passion as Founder/President, Director of Egis Senior Living Group, which has 3 three Residential Homes for the Elderly in the southern Brazil area. These homes regularly provide a comfortable, nature focused and active lifestyle for seniors who can no longer live alone, with activities for families, a private forest, individualized diets, and more amenities, including proprietary specialized software for digital monitoring of seniors to prevent accidents. Read More
