More GCSEN Momentum Building

Our Second in a Series of Momentum Building Posts

In our "Momentum Building" posts, we'll learn what happens behind the scenes as Mike Caslin travels the world, spreading the word of 4P Social Entrepreneurship and generating excitement about GCSEN.

Inspired by the work of Simon Sinek's "Start with Why?", we ask, "Why do we GCSEN?"

Answer: We seek to create life changing learning experiences to help others help themselves via 4P Social Entrepreneurship, where together we will make meaning, make money and move the world to a better place for People, Profit, Planet and Place!

What and how we do it are featured here.  It's the hard work behind the scenes that builds the momentum step by step, changing the world in a meaningful 4P Social Entrepreneurial way each day.

May 28, 2025: GCSEN FEATURED AT ULSTER UNIVERSITY, MAGEE CAMPUS LECTURE, DERRY/LONDONDERRY, NORTHERN IRELAND

USA State Department’s Inaugural Fulbright Scholar for Social Entrepreneurship and GCSEN President and Professor Mike Caslin was on hand to honor and provide concluding remarks for Dr. Laura Bradley-McCauley’s lecture “Exploring Social Enterprises: Catalysts for Economic and Social Change in a Modern World”, at Magee Campus, Ulster University.

The event recognized the GCSEN Ireland-UK-EU Advisory Board Member for her leading edge research on the emerging regional and global impacts of Social Entrepreneurship. Her well received honorary lecture explored global lessons learned for “Winning the Future for an All-Island Ireland”. Prof. Caslin’s remarks focused on the urgency for renewing career passion and purpose for increased peace and prosperity in historically marginalized and conflicted communities throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, as a key part to lasting impact for the Nobel Prize winning Good Friday Peace Accords.

One of the 100+ academic, business, government, NGO and family guests stated, “I found Mike Caslin’s closing comments very insightful. In particular when he said a key to finding your Social Entrepreneur within was to reflect on the key life questions: Who am I?, Why am I here? What do I know and need to know? And how do I act on this? This really got me thinking!

After a four-year spell in Ireland/Northern Ireland UK with a large American corporate company, I now have an opportunity to properly consider what I really should do next, instead of the typical default of “get another job”, which I’ve come to see as a quick knee-jerk reaction, not a portfolio career approach.”

Ulster University, Northern Ireland, has been recognized as the # 1 Best UK University by students in the Student Crowd University Awards 2024, and the #1 University for careers, services and job prospects. Additionally, Ulster University was named University of the Year 2024, by Times Higher Education, the top higher education institution in the UK and Ireland.
