Momentum Building: July 2025

GCSEN MOMENTUM –JULY 16, 2025

Over the past few weeks GCSEN has been busy in the Hudson Valley region of NY, making contacts with US Military Veterans, Veterans’ organizations and political leadership directly involved in Veterans affairs. Our pilot Veterans Venture Program is now underway, as we are engaging with Vets in the area (and on Zoom globally) to begin assisting them to startup business ventures based on social entrepreneurship best practices. Some of our recent outreach is noted here:

  • GCSEN Founder & CEO Mike Caslin, Fulbright Ireland alumnus for social entrepreneurship, was interviewed on Kingston Community Radio, WGHQ 920 AM

  • GCSEN again met with Ulster County Director of Veterans Services Agency Mark Cozzupoli, USAF Master Sgt. (Ret.) to discuss how we can work with his Agency.

  • A GCSEN Public Service Announcement (PSA) was sent out over WDST Radio Woodstock 100.1 FM

  • A GCSEN Public Service Announcement (PSA) was sent out over Radio Kingston NY, WKNY 107.9 FM

  • GCSEN met with US Congressman Pat Ryan’s Office (NY) to discuss our ongoing effort to assist Veterans. Congressman Ryan is a decorated Veteran.

  • GCSEN has been in direct contact with former US Congressman Patrick Murphy (PA) to discuss our ongoing effort to assist Veterans. Congressman Murphy is a decorated Veteran and “Vetrepreneur”.

  • GCSEN is in discussion with the McNulty Veterans Business Center, NY Capital District NY/NJ, a 501 c3 nonprofit that assists Vets in a range of business-readiness services to determine how our offerings complement each other.

  • GCSEN met with Hudson Valley National Center for Veteran Integration Executive Director Kevin Kearny to begin discussions as to how our organizations can work together delivering social entrepreneurship training to Vets in the region.
