"Entrepreneurs- they are the heroes of economic life...From their knowledge of failure, they forge success...In accepting risk, they achieve security for all...In embracing change, they ensure social and economic stability...It is the entrepreneurs who know the rules of the world, and the laws of God...The “means of production (land, labor and capital)” are impotent to generate wealth and progress without the creative men and women of production, the entrepreneurs...Thus they sustain the world.” – George Gilder
In our "Momentum Building" posts, we'll learn what happens behind the scenes as Mike Caslin travels the world, spreading the word of 4P Social Entrepreneurship and generating excitement about GCSEN.

Fall 2025: GCSEN MOMENTUM BUILDING
GCSEN is proud to announce that an approved campus partner program to jointly co-brand, promote and implement our GCSEN/ SHU FastTrack Vet Venture BootCamp Program between the GCSEN Foundation and Seton Hall University, a U.S. Veteran Yellow Ribbon Campus.
Seton Hall University, through the leadership of its Dean of International Programs, Dr. Mary Kate Naatus, in collaboration with the Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies and Stillman School of Business Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship has approved a co-branded partnership with GCSEN in order to deliver this innovative and impactful program which empowers U.S. Military Veterans and family members by training Vets to startup new social entrepreneurship ventures for sustainable impact.
The program, entitled "FastTrack Vet Ventures BootCamp", will launch November 21st. It will offer a 4-week, 50-hour blended-learning experience (online and in person) focusing on social impact business startup readiness for long-term success. The initial pilot cohort will orient up to 50 Veterans and military family members, with the goal of producing at least 10 new Veteran-created social ventures within six months of completion, ten times the current national rate, and generating $500,000 in revenue per venture within three years.
As envisioned by GCSEN and Seton Hall University, the program will consist of four structured programming weeks, followed by GCSEN's highly valued lifetime CEO coaching support including:
- Week 1 (10 hours): Orientation/ Fireside Chat, Social Entrepreneur self-assessment; introduction to Social Entrepreneurship via Prof. Greg Dees’ foundational paper, GCSEN's ebook/workbook Get to Wow! and watching of the GCSEN/CBS the Veterans Playbook TV series episodes, co-produced by GCSEN.
- Week 2 (10 hours): GCSEN’s SE 101 Principles of Social Entrepreneurship course, entrepreneurial mindset coaching, and continued workbook completion.
- Week 3 (20 hours): Vet Venture Launch Bootcamp (SE 102), pitch & prototype building, economics of unit and economic modeling.
- Week 4 (10 hours): Group and individual coaching, custom venture launch counseling, business startup evaluation and introduction to support services.
Each Program graduate will receive a formal GCSEN 4P Social Entrepreneur certification, career/resume-enhancing tools, professional and media recognition, on-going business counseling, and a Seton Hall University Division of Continuing Education Certificate of Achievement, along with eligibility for other scholarship programs and GI Bill enrollment.
This unique, replicable joint program addresses a national need for reintegration of, and entrepreneurial support for, Veterans, who seek economic mobility and whose new companies can become economic drivers- helping Veterans renew their service ethos as new heroes on the home front.
With GCSEN’s strong outreach to partners such as the US VA, US SBA, NY State Veterans Offices, other nonprofit Military transition/reintegration centers, and with Seton Hall’s academic rigor and institutional reach, this partnership has potential to scale nationally and elevate both entities as leaders in mission-driven social entrepreneurship by Veterans and military families.
One of the country’s leading Catholic universities, Seton Hall University has been developing students in mind, heart and spirit since 1856. Home to over 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students and offering more than 90 rigorous majors, Seton Hall’s academic excellence has been singled out for distinction by The Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report and Bloomberg Businessweek. Seton Hall’s 58-acre main campus is located in South Orange, New Jersey, 14 miles from Manhattan. The University’s nationally ranked School of Law is located in nearby Newark, N.J. The new Interprofessional Health Sciences opened in July 2018. The campus houses Seton Hall’s College of Nursing and School of Health and Medical Sciences, as well as the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
