GCSEN Receives Barclays Grant

December 8, 2025- GCSEN Foundation has received a grant from the esteemed UK-based international bank Barclays. In recognition of our founding alum Kyle McNicoll, a Barclays fraud analyst, we were awarded a $2,500 grant to support general operations of GCSEN.

After a rigorous due diligence process, GCSEN was selected for a highly competitive initial unrestricted Grant of $2,500 to underwrite GCSEN USA’s work with Low to Moderate Income Adults (LMI) (especially Veterans and Military Family Members, and Single Working Mothers) all seeking to create generational wealth. The vision is to help them help themselves achieve sustainable employment through their own 4P Social Enterprises.

Barclays' donation is to honor and recognize Kyle’s role (as a GCSEN Graduate– Class of 2016- GCSEN/Wheaton College) and today as a GCSEN Advisory Board Working Group member.  "It is to recognize his multi-year personal board service - as a GCSEN Founding Student at Wheaton College, active GCSEN Alum, GCSEN 4P Social Entrepreneur, GCSEN Volunteer at the Veteran’s Playbook Vetties Awards Dinner and current GCSEN Advisory Board - Innovation Working Group," said Nicole Castaldi, Barclays Corporate Communications.

For context, it is important to note that in the New York Metro Area alone, the Low to Moderate Income threshold for a family of three translates into approximately $40-$70/Hr.; or $80K to $140K per year which is the key initial milestone for GCSEN Social Entrepreneurs. Then we raise our vision and work together to get to $500K in profitable revenue per year then the key milestones of $1MM and $2.5MM in profitable revenue thereby creating sustainable ventures and begin the cycle of generational wealth.

Barclays PLC is a British multinational universal bank, headquartered in London. Established in 1690, Barclays has five divisions, dedicated to corporate and private banking, wealth management, and investments.

Barclays operates in over 40 countries, employs over 40,000 people and is the fifth largest bank in Europe by total assets. This aligns nicely with GCSEN’s global network of 4P Social Entrepreneurs now in 14 countries. We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to using this grant to forward 4P Entrepreneurship for all!
